Post pushing (the one about RxLib)

 09 04 08

So the day 3 31-DBBB task is to post push. I chose the post below.

I pushed out to technorati, digg and del.icio.us. I searched for forums and discussion groups and made sure to add this. As this is about a legacy issue and most initiatives seem to have died, this is becoming obscure tech, so I did not feel I was troubling anyone with this: it better to know and spread this information now, because this solution will be covered in dust. At least this is a relatively fresh breeze.

A good reason to not have your primary blog on a Dutch social network site

Dutch legal consultancy ICTRecht went public today with a study that shows that Dutch Social network sites remove their user's profiles a bit too readily when receiving a claim of author rights infringement.

Note to self: Facebook

Ok. Facebook is hot, people dev on it, it's like Hyves but much bigger - and there are blogengine.net extensions (sample) for it.

Only: I can't be bothered to use Facebook much, as hyves serves a more local role well enough for most of my friends. And there's the whole location-finding thing on the mobile phone they now have (and my colleague Peter and I have been predicting for ever so long).

So: any reason to do so? Suggestions welcome.

Edit: there's LinkedIn extensions as well... and I do have a profile there.

Edit 2010 01: In the meantime, I've found a bunch of international friends, and I Facebook as often as I Hyve.
